Therapy focuses on understanding how thoughts, emotions, behaviours, and relationships influence one’s life. Together, you and your therapist will identify strategies to support growth and well-being. We also offer expressive arts psychotherapy sessions and this form of therapy uses creative mediums—such as drawing, painting, movement, role-playing, toys, and games—to support communication and emotional expression. These tools can assist with memory recall, non-verbal expression, and therapeutic goal setting. Your art therapist will collaborate with you to determine which materials you are most comfortable using. Art and play materials are provided for in-person sessions but are not included for online sessions. While all therapists may integrate art and play into sessions, only Art Therapists offer formal Expressive Arts Psychotherapy sessions.

Group Psychotherapy Overview
Group psychotherapy sessions focus on a specific theme or shared concern. These sessions aim to help members explore their strengths and develop practical skills through guided activities. Groups foster a sense of community, support, and understanding, helping participants feel less isolated while building social and emotional skills.

Each session is facilitated by a therapist and may include co-facilitators, with up to 12 participants per group. Sessions run for 1–2 hours, depending on the topic. While groups are supportive, they are not designed to explore deep individual crises or personal histories.

Confidentiality is respected in all sessions, with standard professional limitations in place. Participants are expected to be mindful of the group dynamic and the privacy of others.

Group Format Options:

Open Drop-In Groups: Attend sessions based on your availability. Group members may vary each session.

Closed Group Series: A structured 4–6 session package with the same members throughout. Registration and full commitment are required in advance.

Sessions are offered in-person or online. Please select the appropriate format when registering.

Expressive Arts Group Therapy
Some group sessions may incorporate Expressive Arts Psychotherapy, which will be clearly stated in the group description. This approach may include visual arts, movement, music, or drama-based activities to support emotional expression and communication.

Family therapy supports families in navigating challenges such as communication issues, expectations, diagnoses, conflict, life transitions, divorce, new baby, grief, attachment patterns, etc. As these are experiences that paint the way relationships and connections unfold both in families and outside of families, it is extremely important to explore how to understand, manage, and resolve these concerns while maintaining cohesiveness, strength and safety within your family dynamics. Our therapists can help you navigate these challenging scenarios and develop positive coping mechanisms and communication strategies within your sessions. This service is available to all family structures, including nuclear, blended, single-parent, estranged, and non-traditional families.

I have completed an Honours BSc in Psychology and Exceptionality & Giftedness at the University of Toronto, as well as my Masters Level Diploma in Art Therapy at the Toronto Art Therapy Institute.

I believe providing a safe and non-judgmental space where the client is given space to express who they are and how their values, thoughts, and behaviours align is vital in therapy. I enjoy collaborating with clients during therapy sessions in order to provide support and strategies that allows them to have a personalized experience suited to their needs and goals.

During my time as an Art Therapist Candidate, I have introduced Art Therapy programs at several locations, including the Long-Term Care units at Milton District Hospital and Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital; at Nisa Homes for Women and Children; and at NRIO Etobicoke (formerly Bayshore Healthcare). I have worked with individuals aged 3 to 102 years old who have presented with varying mental health needs.

I am certified in: - Neurorehabilitation in Assisiting Individuals Living with Brain Injuries; - Specialized Autism Training for Mental Health Providers; and - ASIST Suicide Intervention.

I am trained in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness-Based (Art) Therapy, CBT, DBT, Narrative Therapy, Play Therapy, Emotional Focused Therapy, and I am currently training in Gottman Couple’s Therapy.

During my free time I enjoy spending time with loved ones and engaging in creative and mindful tasks. I also enjoy reading, playing video games, and painting, and spending time in nature. I have exhibited my artwork at locations such as The Spinal Cord Injury of Ontario and Nuit Blanche 2017.
